In the late 1970’s, we
were faced with rising energy costs and shortages. The year 2000 brought us Y2K
preparedness, rolling blackouts, shortages and higher-energy prices. Now, we are faced with rolling blackouts, fuel
shortages, soaring prices, Mother Nature, terrorism attacks and possible war.
The focus this year should be on being efficient and prepared. Everyone
knows what their heating costs were last year and they know it will not be any
cheaper this year to heat their home. Safe,
100% efficient portable kerosene zone heaters are the answer. Today’s
portable kerosene heaters are clean,
efficient and can pay for
themselves the first year or two that they are used by turning down your thermostat and
only heating the areas you spend most of your time in. Be prepared by having a backup heating and cooking system. Most portable kerosene heaters will heat at least one average size room and provide a surface to cook, can and warm foods on. Some of our heaters will even produce an extra source of light for nights when the power goes out. If you want a kerosene heater for emergency use only, I would suggest buying our KleanHeat Synthetic Kerosene for storing. KleanHeat will not deteriorate and become useless like real kerosene will over a year or two. KleanHeat has an indefinite shelf life. When the power goes out, you will always have heat. Never store your heater with real kerosene in it, as can absorb moisture, start rusting out your fuel tank and ruining your wick. Always burn the heater dry before storing for next season.
